We are having a boy!

Well here he is! He has grown a lot since our last sonogram. It has made me rest easier knowing he is doing so well. The doctor and sonogram technician said his measurments were right on he looked like he is growing healthy. I am still right on for my due date of April 30th. We were able to see the chambers of his heart pumping away and I have to say it was pretty amazing. It is very different seeing a sonogram on the screen when you know it is your child! Crazy, yet amazing and awesome! He was moving a lot the day we went to the doctor and kept putting his right hand on his face. I started felling him move around last Friday and since then I think at times there is circus going on inside of me. He must have a lot of room because I swear I think he is doing somersaults. He is moving constantly now. My doctor said he is 12 ounces; of course I have gained 4 pounds since my last appointment but I guess that is about right 1 lb a week and it has been 4 weeks. So far I have had no cravings and appear to have less of an appetite then usual at night which is rare for me. I realized last night however at this rate if I go full term I will gain another 20 lbs on top of the 15 lbs I've already gained. I see my stomach growing everyday and think I can not imaging how big it will be in 4 more months. It is weird but at least it is gradual so I have time to adjust. Well I will wrap this post up for now. We are super excited; Adam is on cloud 9! Honestly from the beginning I think we knew we were having a boy. I do not know why I guess it was just a hunch.

Catholic Senators who want to fund abortion
I know this has nothing to do with my pregnancy but thought I would get this info out.
The list of the 15 Catholic Senators who want you to fund abortions; December 9, 2009 ·
These are the US Senators (listed below) who voted last night (Dec 8th) against the Nelson/Hatch/Casey amendment to the Health Care legislation. This is the amendment that would have essentially kept the health care reform efforts “abortion neutral” and applied the current law – Hyde amendment restrictions – to the Health Care reform bill.
Even worse, these Catholic senators voted for you to pay for abortions and to expand federal support for abortion on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. I wonder if they went to Mass before or after voting to expand federally funded abortions?
Fortunately non of these senators represent Alabama but still thought I'd pass this along for readers to know. If any of these senators belong to you, please vote them out. And please share this list with all of the Catholics you know.
Begich (D-AK)
Cantwell (D-WA)
Collins (R-ME)
Dodd (D-CT)
Durbin (D-IL)
Gillibrand (D-NY)
Harkin (D-IA)
Kerry (D-MA)
Landrieu (D-LA)
Leahy (D-VT)
McCaskill (D-MO)
Menendez (D-NJ)
Mikulski (D-MD)

17 Weeks
Adam and I went to see my doctor on Monday. I've gained 2 lbs this month, I can't remember my blood pressure but it was good, he said everything was looking good. I did not get a sonogram this visit although we did get to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was really neat! The baby's heart rate 155 beats per minute which they said was very good. So all in all we had a good visit and everything is moving along well. I am very happy about that. We will find out if it is a boy or girl at our next visit December 14th! I am very anxious to find out (I think Adam is too). I am still feeling pretty drained most nights by the time I get home which is frustrating but I am trying to be patient for my energy to come back. I have decided if it weren't for my vitamins, my sinuses and drainage I would not feel nauseous at all. I try and take my vitamins a lunch and that helps some but if I forget and have to take them at night I can count I getting sick. :( When I do throw up it is almost always just sinus drainage I throw up (disgusting I know but just telling you how it is). I will try and get a picture posted some time this week. My clothes are getting increasingly uncomfortable so I find myself wearing my three maternity pants a lot.
I ordered a pair of jeans that should arrive any day now.
My review of the bella band: I finally received my bella bands in the mail; for those who do not know what that is it is a band of stretchy fabric that you wear over the top of pants and stomach to smooth it when you can't button your pants anymore. It looks like you just have a long undershirts on or something. Right now my pants fit fine but my lower stomach is too pooched to really zip and stay zipped especially after lunch (that or it is my butt and I refuse to admit that!) so I have to wear the band really low. It is also uncomfortable to have anything tight across my lower stomach and if I try and zip my pants it can get tight. So my review of the band is it not bad but not near as comfortable as maternity pants. I can't wait till I have time to do some shopping over Thanksgiving!

Clothes
I meant to put this in my last post but forgot. I have continued to search for maternity clothes but have found that the few stores who have an actual maternity section do not have a lot in my size so that has lead me to the Internet. My rapidly expanding waist line is keeping me out of most of my regular pants. I finally ordered 2 of those Bella Bands. They are like a snug panel that you slide over your regular pants so that you do not have to button them and it flattens the button and zipper out so you can't tell. They are suppose to help until you get to a point where even they will not keep you in your normal sized pants. I am anxious to see how well it will work for me. I have also started searching on eBay; I bought my Bella Bands there, a real cute blazer and a pair of jeans on there today. I hope they turn out good. I get a discount, most of the clothes are new and I don't have to drive an hour to shop for them! The other thing I have noticed is that with most clothes if is cute and doesn't look like maternity clothes it is considered "designer" maternity and is very expensive. Since I refuse to look frumpy my whole pregnancy I hope to find some good deals online. Wish me luck! I am also looking forward to shopping in Louisville at Thanksgiving with mom, Marge and Ivy. Remind me to go by Kohl's I hear they have a pretty good selection.
16 Weeks

I have been both busy and lazy the last few weeks and as result I have not posted any pictures. It has been 3 weeks since I took my last picture! Time is flying by to the point it is almost scarey! Things are still going good. I am still feeling yucky some nights but not every night. So when I feel good I am busy doing things around the house and the days I feel crappy I do nothing. So far I am not really having any cravings for food, I don't feel overly emotional, I just don't have a lot of the symptoms people often associate with being pregnant (so far). I have had a lot of problems with my sinuses the last few weeks and it is driving me crazy! I get a sinus headache every afternoon that often lasts through the night. The crazy hot/cold weather here hasn't exactly helped! I have not been good about exercising and am trying to come up with a plan of attack! Afternoon/evenings are just so hard b/c I often feel bad but in the morning I can't seem to drag myself out of bed. I honestly really miss running with my group and am thinking about starting back a few days a week if the weather will stay mild. I usually carpool and that forces me to get up. I'll keep you posted. I am slowly starting to get things at the house cleaned up. Since we do not have a large house storage is definately an issue. As of now all of our closets are full and all of the extra dressers and such in the 2 spare bedrooms are also full. So needless to say we have got to get organized if we are going to be able to fit a baby in the house.

Week 14 Summary
I have not posted a picture this week because we have been so busy it seems; I'll try and get one up tonight or tomorrow. This week I have noticed my stomach is getting a good bit bigger. It looks like I have done more than eat a large meal. It looks like I have eaten a small animal!
I have been doing a better job cooking supper this week which has been a nice change. I am also feeling less yucky which helps. The past few weeks nothing sounded good and just never could get meals together. Meat, although it did not disgust me just seemed very unappetizing. It has been a little better this week. I have made it to the gym the first three days of the week which has made me feel a lot better. It is amazing how quickly you can get out of shape so I am trying to do a good mix of cardio and strength training. I am doing a 5K this weekend with a bunch of girls. I am going to try and run at a easy pace but will walk if I need to. We'll see. I got my swine flu shot yesterday so I now have my regular seasonal flu vaccine and the swine flu vaccine. My doctor recommended getting both, so I felt pretty comfort about getting it done. At least with the swine flu they give pregnant women the shots without all the preservatives. Nice, from now on I am going to claim being pregnant even if I am not just to get a shot without all that other junk in it. It may be harmless but I don't if I am convinced. Adam has had to go to his mom's almost every night since Friday helping with a cow that is down. They are having to bottle feed her calf which means he has come home bruised and beaten by these 2 animals and is very tired. Hopefully it will be better soon.

Latest Dr. Visit (I'm at 13 weeks now)
Adam and I went to the Dr. yesterday for our monthly visit. They did not do a sonogram this time but we did get to hear the baby's heart beat which was really neat. They said it sounded normal and everything looked good. It was really neat but did kind of miss getting see the baby's growth. I guess I will have to wait another 4 weeks to get a look. For my next appointment I will 17 weeks and although the Dr. said they would tell us the sex of the baby at 20 weeks I am hoping they will at least try to look and see at our next appointment. Worst case maybe before Christmas if the baby is positioned so we can tell. If you can't tell I am a little anxious to know the sex; not because I want one more then the other but it just makes me think I'll know a little bit more about the baby then. I won't know who it looks or acts like until it is born and gets older but at least I can know what I can look forward to! Adam says he know what it is going to be already. He either says a"Squall Butt" or a "Cry Baby". I tell him only if the baby takes after him! I will post my weekly belly pictures when I get home.

The Little Bump

OK, so here it is my first bump pic. At this point I look like I just finished eating a huge dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant but it never goes away. I looked up pictures of other women at 11 weeks and apparently I look normal. I haven't been running with my group much partly due to my laziness and partly due to the fact that it is either raining or freezing here. So I have been trying to get to the gym early in the evening before I start feeling like crap, which usually occurs between 7 and 8pm. I went this weekend to Huntsville to do some quick shopping with a friend and picked up some more clothes. Since most maternity tops are huge and often unattractive I am putting off wearing them until I have to. Instead I just got regular shirts/sweaters that fit fairly long and have a little room for my belly to grow. I should be able to wear them for a few months at least. Pants on the other hand are a different story. If I go up a size in pants they look huge all over so what seems to work best are the dreaded panel pants... however they look better and are more comfortable then any alternative. Although I have bought 2 pairs so far I can't bring myself to wear them yet. I need to prepare mentally for that one. I have decided that most of my pants will have to be ordered online because most stores have a small maternity section and seldom carry my size; go figure!

Trip to St. Louis
We had a great time in St. Louis visiting with family this weekend. This week will end up just as busy as the rest I am sure. I know 9 months sounds like a long time but we've been so busy I image that it will go by very fast. Besides this coming weekend we will be busy the next 3 weekends of October, but it is all fun stuff! Auburn football, parties, 5K's and Halloween! I am not feeling too bad these days although my sinuses are messed up and I am trying not to take too much medicine even if it is listed on my sheet of approved stuff to take. With my pants getting tighter and tighter I bit the bullet and got 2 maternity outfits/items on our trip. None of my regular pants have stretch in the waist so they are getting snug quickly. I was happy to find a really cute dress I can wear even now that is cute and a pair of brown corduroy's that fit me very well. We'll see how long before I have to wear them. It was very hard to look at all this maternity clothes and visualize fitting into any of it. It is still so weird but when we left the store I was happy with the start of my new wardrobe. (I don't want to wish my foot to grow but I'd love an excuse to buy new shoes too ;) LOL!)

How am I feeling ?
I have felt fine in the mornings and early afternoon for the most part but by 5 or 6 at night I start feeling pretty yuck. I am exhausted and hungry but I am turned off to the thought of eating many of usual favorite dinners. Poor Adam keeps getting left overs b/c I really don't have the engergy or stomach to cook much for dinner. Being queezy does however help with my grocery bill because not much sounds good, too bad this phase will pass! I only ran once last week out of pure exhaustion but did do one of P90X videos with Kristen Saturday morning (taking lots of breaks). It didn't seem like we did much but I was very sore on Sunday. I got a ton of things cleaned and put up around the house on Sunday afternoon which made me feel better about doing so little on Saturday. Last night I actually didn't feel too bad and I got up and ran this am. Rest assured I have talked to my Dr. twice and he said it is fine for me to still run. I am running at a much slower pace and we talk most of the time we are running which is a good gage for me to know if I am over doing it. We go back to the Dr. again on October the 19th. We will go once a month until I think we get to 30 weeks and then go every 2 weeks until the last month and then go weekly.

6 weeks and 8 weeks Sonogram
This is my sonogram at 6 weeks (9/4/09), my "bean" as Aunt Margaret calls it is the light spot at the very bottom of dark circle (it is hard to see from this picture). My Dr. doesn't normally do a sonogram at 6 week but he thought originally that I was closer to 8 weeks which is when they usually perform the first sonogram. We did see the flutter of the heart though which was good for our first visit!
This is the sonogram at 8 weeks and 3 days (9/21/09), as you can see the "bean" is growing. The Dr. said everything looks good.

The Hangover Review

Before heading to the movies we went to the Holland's for some homemade Rocky Road Ice Cream, it was so yummy! Anywho back to my movie review; the movie as I am sure you have heard was really funny. It was not nearly as raunchy as I thought it would be. The credits at the end were definately R rated but besides that it was pretty darn funny. The new movie theater in town was nice, it is great not having to drive to Huntsville to go to a decent theater.

Update on my Car
Also, I have decided to keep my car and I now have a functioning AC. Every vehicle I found and was interested in I looked up the year model on Edmonds.com and read about all the problems owners were having. Most of them were more expensive vehicle but they had serious issues with transmissions and large items to replace. I then looked up the 2005 Optima that I own and there were very few major issues listed or commented about. So after a week of looking I decided to just maintain what I have and hope the it holds up without any major repairs for a few more years. Keep your fingers crossed.
4th of July Weekend!
Well we are quickly approaching the long weekend and I can't wait. Thursday Lauren will be stopping in for a short stay with us on her way to the beach. She will be the first of the Louisville girls to see our house in Scottsboro. They will be leaving early on Friday morning to get back on the road but it will still be good to see her. The rest of the weekend will be filled with time on the boat, swimming and hopefully fireworks! Can't wait, I love the 4th!
Life Savers
A teacher was doing a lesson involving lifesaver candies. As she gave the children the candy
they began to identify the flavors by their color:
Red...............Cherry Yellow..............Lemon Green................Lime Orange ..............Orange
Finally the teacher gave them all HONEY lifesavers. None of the children could identify the taste. The teacher said, "I will give you all a clue. It's what your mother may sometimes call your father." One little girl looked up in horror, spit her lifesaver out and yelled, "Oh my God! They're ass-holes! "
I got that from Phil and had to pass it along.

Damn Kia!
I am very frustrated right now. I hate to say this but I do not see me ever buying another Kia again. First off the paint on my bumper started to peel about a year ago. It wouldn't be too noticable if I didn't have a silver car and the bumber is black plastic. Needless to say it is very noticable. Of course paint is only covered by warrenty for 3 year or 36,000 mile which I already surpassed when the problem began. I still don't think you should have paint problems that quickly. I dealt with that but now my air conditioner is going out and will be between $400 and $500 to fix. It isn't even four years old and of course the warrently on that has also expired. I am honestly concerned what will happen when the transmission and engine warrently runs out at 100,000 miles. Will they too fall apart. So now I am trying to decide whether fix it and hope the rest of my car actually holds up or trade in for another vehicle. I keep my car very well kept with no damage to it in any other way so this really irritates me - I wanted to keep this car for at least another 5 years. I am not happy with Kia right now.

Go Adam!
Adam found out Monday that his office is now a primary carrier for a company he has been trying to get approved with. He spent a few weeks getting the rates for the quote together so needless to say his work has paid off. Now that they are a primary carrier, they will be one of the few trucking companies that they will get call to cover loads. They are now a primary carrier out of the company's Jasper, TN and Hazleton, PA locations as well as a secondary carrier for 6 other locations on 4796 loads. This could potentially provide a lot of loads for his office. I so proud of ya!

Pontoon Boat is ready for summer
I haven't posted lately because since it has warmed up we seem to have gotten pretty busy. The pontoon boat has been cleaned and is running good which makes me happy! We still need to order the top but that is it and personally I like the sun so it doesn't bother me. I sit in an office all day, year round so during the summer months I enjoy every minute of sun on my skin that I can. So far we have only been out fishing because it has been such a mild spring but hopefully if it is warm this weekend we'll get out a tube some. We'll see.

Work at the farm

Adam took off work on Friday and by lunch on Friday I was so antsy at work that I decided to take a half day as well. It was the first pretty day in a while. The plan was to go to his mom's to do a little work and then go fishing. Adam has several projects he is working on. He is clearing out the small wooded area between the creek and the pasture at his mom's house. This area was full of lots of rocks and cut tree tops that loggers left. It was a mess and waste of land the cows could hardly get to. After a lot of hard work it is looking much better. Most of the dead trees have been cut and burned but there are still a lot of rocks to be removed. He is also rebuilding the catch pin because the cedar posts were rotting away and not able to keep the cows up. On Friday we hauled the remaining posts out to be burned and started to get all the rocks cleared out so he can start placing new posts. I've attached some pictures I took on Friday. Unfortunately we didn't get to go fishing because it started to storm on our way.

Word to the wise..
Do not watch The Soup (it is a TV show) on E! while working out. I was watching it at the gym as I ran on the treadmill and was laughing so hard I had to quit running which isn't so bad if everyone in the gym wasn't staring at me as I was bent over laughing. It was just so d*** funny I couldn't stop! Now everyone at my gym probably thinks I'm crazy! I eventually had to pull my ear plugs out to focus on running.
In another update - I am still breaking out in hives when I work out. The Singulair worked for a few weeks but doesn't seem to be helping AS much now. I have decided just to keep working out - hives or no hives. At least I have not been having trouble breathing which is most important.

Everyone needs a laugh, it's Monday!
A Drug Enforcement Agency officer stops at a ranch down in Texas, and talks with an old rancher.
He tells the rancher, "I need to inspect your place for illegally grown drugs."
The old rancher says, "Okay, but do not go in that field over there" and points to the location across the fence.
The DEA officer verbally explodes saying, "Mister, I have the power and authority of the Federal Government with me." Reaching into his rearpants pocket, he removes his badge and displays it to the rancher. "See this badge? This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I want to . .. on any land. No questions asked or answers given. Have I made myself clear? Do you Understand?"
The old rancher nods politely, apologizes, and goes about his chores. A short time later, there's loud screams and the DEA officer is running for his life on the other side of the fence, being chased close behind by the rancher's prize bull. With every step the bull is gaining ground on the officer, and it seems likely that he'll get "horned" before he reaches safety. The man is clearly terrified.
The old rancher runs out of the barn, yelling at the top of his lungs,...... "Your badge! Your badge! Show him your badge!"

Another find at the Auction!

Well the bike ride Adam and I were going to go to on Saturday got rained out to say the least. It has finally quit after 3 solid days of heavy rain. So Saturday I decided to go to an antique auction close to Guntersville about 30 minutes away. It is a bi-monthly auction I have been wanting to go to that always seems to have really nice pieces. I couldn't find anyone to go with me but had a great time by myself. However, I made up for all the deals I have got at auctions in the past on this one. They had one piece that wasn't really an antique but came from a very nice estate out of Birmingham and was just what I was looking for. I set my limit kind of high and still went a little over it; it was the first time I have gotten carried away at an auction. I had such bad buyers remorse even though I know that the retail price for this piece would have been a lot higher then what I paid. I was literally sick over it! That was Saturday; by Sunday I was really happy I got it. Adam likes it too and works well for what we needed it for.
Roses!

Pictures of my first cuttings off my rose bushes this year. Most are from a hybrid tea bush "Week's brand Rio Samba" roses they are are yellow/orange and pink; right now it has about 45 roses on it. The big pink one is from an English rose bush I planted last year. This is the first big rose I have gotten off of it, before this they were always small and kind of pitiful looking. Hopefully it will do better this year, this one smelled so good! I have one small red/pink one that came off one of my knock out rose bushes that I planted last year. They are still small but are putting out a lot of roses so far.

More from Easter Weekend

When mom and dad came in for Easter weekend we decided to all go to Chattanooga, TN on Saturday. It was something we could all go do together and get to visit a little. I think it is safe to say we all had a really good time. We are only an hour away from Chattanooga but don't get the chance to go visit very often. Downtown Chattanooga is convient because it is on the river and very pedestrian friendly. We skipped the aquarium (which I really like) this time and just enjoyed some Mellow Mushroom pizza. We walked the pizza off on the pedestrian bridge and the walk ways around the river. We took an awesome boat tour on a new state of the art boat that the Aquarium operates that goes down the Tennessee River gorge. The boat itself was amazing and is permitted to run 55 down the river which is really cool. It was a really nice tour and I think we all enjoyed sitting for a bit. Once we were done with the boat ride we were fighting daylight to see Lookout Mountain which is a resort mountain top community that overlooks the river and the city. We all wished we had more time to look around. Next Time! We called it a day and wrapped up with some Cracker Barrel to warm and fill our bellies! We had a great time.
Happy Easter

These are just a few pictures from Easter. Mom and dad were in town so we had them and Adam's family over for Easter lunch. We had quit a spread of ham, deviled eggs, oriental slaw, mashed potatoes, fried okra and from scratch lemon blueberry bundt cake. Yum!
Easter fell in between our bad weather and was a beautiful day for hunting easter eggs. Too bad I am old and have to do the hidding now. I think next year we need to have an adult easter egg hunt!

Double Wammy!
I know it has been forever since I have posted anything! I will post our Easter pictures later but wanted to pass this one along to you. We had a tornado on Good Friday and hurricane strength winds on Sunday night/early Monday morning. Needless to say it is a mess around here. The tornado in the picture touched down on the TN river just about 5 miles from the house. We lucked out and had no damage from either event to speak of! We have a lot to be thank full for!

Happy St. Patty's Day! Do you see the leprechaun?
Well since we do not have a big St. Patty's day celebration here in Scottsboro I was feeling the need to get in the spirit of the holiday. To do this I decided to pull up one of my favorite St. Patrick Day clips. It may not be as exciting as watching a parade drinking green beer but it sure is funny.

The Leprechaun Sighting in Mobile in 2006!
(I don't know what they smoke in South Alabama but must be good.)

Upcoming Trip to Louisville
Adam and I will be in Louisville this coming weekend (March 20-22nd) and looking very much forward to it! Adam has been wanting to go to the annual trucking show that Louisville hosts each year and it worked out that this year's show fit into our schedule. The Mid-America Trucking Show 2009 to be exact.

For those that don't know Adam is a terminal manager (is over the Scottsboro office) for Mason Dixon Truck Lines out of Warren, Michigan so he should enjoy the show. Our plan is to get there on Thursday evening and stay until Sunday. Our next trip up will be in May, probably either Derby or Mother's Day Weekend we'll see.

Economic Woes
Well I am staying busy at work these days which is good, unfortunately it is filing unemployment claims for those currently laid off. The plant that I work at has stopped production from February 21st through hopefully April 1st. This means that all of our hourly production employees and 11 salary employees directly tied to production are being temporarily laid off until we start back up. Since my main duties lie in HR my job is safe for now. The company I work for make high tenacity yarn that is used primarily in airbag fabric which is obviously directly tied to automotive production and sales. I will keep you posted on any changes. So, go buy a new car!

Stone Mountain, GA
As I am still behind these are pictures from Valentine's Day Weekend when we went to Stone Mountain, GA (I didn't take a lot of pictures but here are a few). For those of you who do not know Stone Mountain is a large park on the western side of Atlanta. It is like a state park but nicer, I think it is like Callaway Gardens in the sense that the land was donated and is managed by a family trust or something. Anywho... we went with Adam's mom, April, David, Aubrey and Eli (my sister and brother in-law, niece and nephew) as well as Adam's cousin Andi, her husband Tommy and their son Welsey who live outside of Atlanta. Most of the attractions are closed during the winter month but this year they started blowing snow and set up a tubing hill and some areas for kids to play in the snow. It is really funny because those in KY reading this have had more then their share of snow and ice this year and we are paying money just to play in it. I think next time we will need to go a little further north, it was wierd to be playing in the snow when it was 50 degrees out. We did get to go to the top of the mountain but it was pretty hazy/foggy out the day we were there. Good Times!

You can now follow me ..
Now I know this may surprise many but yes, I already have followers! Just wanted to let my followers know that they can come out of hiding. You will notice on the right hand column a section now for followers where you can make yourself know. I will send a prize to my first follower! Let me know if you have any questions. Let me know if there is anything else you want to see on the blog, I am still trying to get the hang of this as well.
What constitutes a Crisis?
Remember this was passed because our economy is in "Crisis", in our president's last speech he descibed the situation as a crisis over 20 times. I am glad to see this crisis will be resolved by building frizbee parks, indoor soccer centers, bike trails, quite zones?! (in Cali.), door bells and a lot of road work. These are all great things if we were in a surplus and could afford them. Don't worry if you lose your job you can pave roads. It lists the costs as well as the number the project is expected to employ; you will notice many projects have a zero next to them. Look it up by your state on the left under Browse Project, By City/State.

Take a Hike!
Ok, I am already a little behind on my blog so I am playing a little catch up. Not this Sunday but last we went to Adam's mom's place with our friends the Cantrells and these are some of the pictures. We hiked up a large creek bed that runs up the valley behind her house. It only has water running in it when it rains so it worked out well. It was a unusually mild day and a great day to get out before the snakes do! The kids got a kick out of the small cave you can walk in and I got a kick out of finding an old tree that Adam carved our names in back when I was a Scherrer. We didn't make it all the way to the bluff but maybe next time. Mom, we'll try it next time you come to visit!
BTW - To leave a comment go below each posting and click on "# comments" the number will change as comments are added. Let me know if that doesn't work.

Since Christmas

We haven't been too busy since Christmas just the usual. I have finally finished painting the kitchen! I forget how much I hate to paint until I decide to do it. I don't have much back on the walls but at least they have some color on them. Mom and Marge came down to thaw out the last weekend in January. The weather was great, we enjoyed some shopping in Huntsville while Adam stayed busy hunting the last weekend of deer season. He only killed one 6 point cull deer this season. We will have a few week lull before turkey season starts in the middle of March. It will be nice to have a little break. We are going this weekend to Stone Mountain, Georgia outside of Atlanta with Adam's family. It will be nice to get out of town for a few days. Most of their attractions are closed during the winter months but we have tickets for the tubing hill, it should be fun. I'll post pictures when we geet back.
